Chukar and Fox

I don't like 'tailgate photos' of a row of dead birds and grinning hunters.  Seems like a missed opportunity to record a bagged bird some better way. I shot this photo about a dozen years ago, and like the composition with the frost colored leaves. Nikon F2AS - Fujichrome Velvia

I'm not sure how I missed those posts! Very nice. Re- finding that rock in Montana that you posted about in "Tune Up"- funny how the only rock in fifty feet manages to be under a gun or fly rod. Nearly as funny the contortions we make trying to keep the muzzles in a safe direction and to interpose flesh between rock and gun.
